North Field East LNG Expansion

Qatar · Under construction

North Field East adds four LNG mega-trains with a combined capacity of 33 million tonnes per annum at Ras Laffan, together with a carbon capture facility. QatarEnergy's chief executive said in September 2026 that the first train is expected online in the first half of 2027, warning that equipment blocked by the Strait of Hormuz crisis could cause delays.
