Planned corridor of about 1,200 km of railway with a parallel motorway linking Grand Faw Port to the Turkish border, backed by a quadrilateral memorandum signed by Iraq, Türkiye, Qatar and the UAE on 22 April 2024. As of September 2026 the Transport Ministry reports highway and railway designs above 90% complete. Iraq and Türkiye completed a final draft implementation agreement on 11 September 2026, which still requires government approval and signing, and no construction contract has been awarded.
