Deep-water container port at Al-Faw on Iraq's Gulf coast, intended as the southern terminus of the Development Road corridor; its first phase, built by Daewoo E&C, comprises five berths, a container yard and a dredged navigation channel, with a stated first-phase capacity of three million containers. As of September 2026 the five berths are complete, the submerged tunnel is 98% complete and the exchange yard 90%, and the port is entering a trial phase but is not yet in full commercial operation.
