Etihad Rail's freight network, running from Ghuwaifat on the Saudi border to Fujairah port, is in operation, and passenger services began on 30 June 2026 between Abu Dhabi and Fujairah. The status is recorded as operational because freight runs network-wide, while passenger stations planned to serve 11 cities at up to 200 km/h are still opening in phases through March 2027.
