Al Maktoum International Airport expansion (new passenger terminal)

Dubai approved designs for a new passenger terminal at Al Maktoum International Airport in April 2024, planned for an eventual capacity of 260 million passengers and 12 million tonnes of cargo a year, with five parallel runways. By mid-2026, AED 13bn of contracts were being executed, a further AED 55bn was due for award by the end of 2026, and the first phase, with capacity for 150 million passengers, is due in 2032.
